In the New Orleans Area, a "KREWE" is a group of people who join together to stage a Mardi Gras Parade at Their Own Expense. Not an easy task as there are a many obstacles and logistics to work out. A theme must be picked, floats must be designed, built and paid for, costumes have to be prepared, marching bands & musical groups need to be hired, Just so they can ‘CELEBRATE LIFE & SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD’....

The Arabi Wrecking Krewe faces an even more difficult task as a result of the extreme flooding from Hurricanes "KATRINA & RITA"....

The clearing, gutting, and or repairing of homes for displaced musicians and their families has been the main TRUST of the KREWE.

More than 250,000 Homes/Housing Units were destroyed or had major damage from the two storms. ....

OUR TASK ~ TO BRING BACK OUR MUSIC ~ BY BRINGING BACK OUR MUSICIANS.

Music, in the Metro New Orleans area is Life Itself for most Musicians..... AND, It’s a Way of Life for our people. It’s as SACRED as the ANCIENT LIVE OAKS that survived KATRINA to Line our Parks, Streets & Boulevards.

Anyone who knows New Orleans understands that she is LOST without her MUSIC and the great MUSICIANS that MAKE THE MUSIC. We live, love, eat and even die to a rhythm that is uniquely ours and which we choose to Share with the World.

We can rebuild the levees, restore the power, bring back the barrier islands, rebuild our Coastal Marshes, build new homes and businesses and cook the best food on the Planet....

However, if we lose Our Music, The New Orleans that We and the World have come to know and love WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
